The Everyone Group

Why should I use the Everyone group?

The Everyone group is a special user group that includes all users of the system. 

It is designed to provide universal access across the organization, making it easy to apply rights and privileges that should be granted to all users. This group typically comes pre-configured and serves as a baseline for permissions that can be modified as necessary.

You can use the Everyone group to grant access rights to documents or folders intended for public viewing or shared use within the organization.

To set the Everyone group's security rights:

    1. Select the app picker, and then choose Repository Administration.
    2. Choose Everyone from the left hand side of your Laserfiche window.

Under the General tab you can assign:

    • Read-Write or Read Only access
    • Security Tags
    • Watermarks

Under the Privileges tab you can assign:

    • Feature rights
    • Privileges

Applying permissions to the Everyone group can help streamline the management of user access across multiple items, instead of adjusting settings for individual users.
