(Admin users) Click your initials in the bottom left corner > Click on 'Organization' > Click on 'Users' > Click on the pencil & paper icon to the right of the user > Click on the 'Appointment' tab > Choose the vacant role > Click Apply

When a staff member changes roles, it is required that Cascade be updated to keep pace with your organization. Whether the shift is into or out of the organization, laterally or up within the organization, assignments within Cascade are assigned to the role, not the user, so if a role is left vacant, no one is reporting to those assignments. Below I will tell you how to add a new role and enter a new user into that role, and, how to remove one user from a role and add another user to that role.
Adding a new role and adding a user to that role -
- Click on your initials in the circle in the bottom left corner
- Click on 'Organization'
- Click on 'Roles'
- Click on the '+' sign in the blue circle at the top right of the screen
- Click on 'Add Role'
- *You do not need to add a 'Role ID'
- Enter the 'Role Title'
- Click 'Next' or 'Organization Details' and select the correct 'Organization Unit'
- Click 'Next' or 'Manager' and select who the role will report to
- Click 'Next' and then click 'Save'
- Click the 'Users' tab
- Click on the '+' sign in the blue circle at the top right of the screen
- Click on 'Add User'
- *You do not need to add a 'User ID'
- Enter a 'Username' and 'Password' (*the Username will be used by the user to login - we recommend using the user's work email address)
- Click 'Next' or 'Personal Details' and fill in those fields
- Click 'Next' or 'Appointment' and select the role from the dropdown list
- Click 'Next' or 'Review' and then 'Save'

How to remove one user from a role and add another user to that role -
- Click on your initials in the circle in the bottom left corner
- Click on 'Organization'
- Click the 'Users' tab
- Click on the pencil & paper icon to the right of the user you wish to remove from the role
- Click on 'Appointment' and the 'Current Role' dropdown and change the role to 'Unappointed'
- Click 'Apply'
- Click on the pencil & paper icon to the right of the user you wish to add to the role
- Click on 'Appointment' and the 'Current Role' dropdown and select the open role
- Click 'Apply'
