Tasks are used in Cascade as action items to check off within your goals. To decide whether to use a task or a child goal, you should determine whether your action requires its own tracking (numerical progress and written updates) or merely to be checked off to say that it is complete. If it is the former you should create a child goal to track your action, if it is the latter you should create a task to track your action.
Tasks can be created by clicking on the 'Add Task' button in the sidebar, or in the 'Activity' or 'Task' areas of the Goal Hub. Creating a Task -
- Click on the goal title to bring up the sidebar where you wish to add a task
- Click on the 'Add Task' button within the sidebar
- Complete the relevant fields within the 'Add Task' window
- Click Save
