How do I Create Specific Goal Targets in Cascade?

We recommend tracking your goals to specific targets to ensure they are measured in a meaningful manner. The system's default setting of a target and unit of measurement is 100%, however, this can easily be altered and you may track to any number and unit of measurement you would like, assisting your goal to be more closely relevant to the actual work you are undertaking.

You can even set the target to zero and use the goal to track how many of something occurs.

When you are creating a goal in the 'Add Goal' sidebar to the right of the screen, to set your target amount and unit of measurement follow the following steps:

Scroll down in the 'Add Goal' sidebar to reveal the 'Tracking Metric' section
Click in the 'Target' field to enter your numerical target for the goal
Click in the 'Unit' field to select the unit of measurement you wish to track

If you don't see the 'Unit' field straight away, enter a number into the 'Target' field and it will appear.

If there is a unit of measurement you wish to track that is not active on your list, contact your Government Frameworks consultant or lodge a support ticket and detail your requirement and we will add that for you.

If your goal already exists and you wish to change the target and unit of measurement, follow the following steps:

Click on the goal title to bring up the sidebar to the right of screen
Click on the blue circle with the "<" inside it to open out the goal hub
Click on the 'Tracking' tab near the top of the screen
Click in the 'Target' field to enter your numerical target for the goal
Click in the 'Unit' field to select the unit of measurement you wish to track

Next, you may wish to set Expected Progress for your goal so it tracks to the timeline you intend to use to complete the assignment.
