The simple answer above can be conducted from the sidebar or the goal hub after clicking on a goal title in multiple areas within Cascade. You can add progress to a goal from the Goal Deck, the Planner, a Snapshot, or a Dashboard. Progress can be added to a goal anywhere you can click on the goal title to bring up the sidebar.
Depending on the tracking of the goal, numerical progress will be altered via the methods listed below.
- Using the manual slider to increase/decrease numerical progress
- Progress will roll up from child goals at the level below
- Progress will increase through task completion
- Progress will be influenced by externally sourced data through an integration.
The first option, Manual Slider is the only manual process of the aforementioned tracking options, the others will set the numerical progress automatically after another process has been fulfilled. To learn more about the different tracking types, please click here.
Once you have added numerical progress to your goal, you should add written progress to justify your result. To do this, click on the Add Update button, fill in the text box fields with your concise update, and click save.
We recommend not using first names to identify someone (rather, full names or job titles), or acronyms which can confuse the reader, and we encourage people to remember their audience and remember that their update might end up accessible to the general public.
